James S. Gale’s 1913 collection brings the two tales on the South Korea page into one book. Im the hunter meets a woodcutter in the mountains. In The Man Who Lost His Legs, a merchant meets a traveller on the shore who tells him about his past. Both begin with a stranger. Notice which stranger shows the way and which recounts a journey of his own.
