Origin and tradition

A Papiamento tale. The 1952 Curaçao book and the 2012 Aruba archive release are separate records.

In the Aruba telling, Tiger gives Nanzi’s daughter an avocado. When Nanzi smells the fruit, he goes to the garden. The next day he climbs the tree with an iron ball. The Curaçao collection also records the offer of help and the iron ball dropped from the tree.
