Sudan’s first Atlas records come from stories collected in 1975–1976 and published in English in 2022. The Kordofan records preserve Hamar and Kababish tellings of Nijaidun. In the tale from Al-Duwaim on the White Nile, a stone and a piece of charcoal thrown from a boat bring two old friends together again.
