The Kyrgyzstan Atlas entry documents the transcription of Sagymbay Orozbakov’s oral telling of Manas between 1922 and 1926. UNESCO also documents the oral performance of Manas, Semetey and Seytek as living heritage. One record concerns a manuscript from a named teller, while the other describes a practice sustained by a community of performers.
