Counts reflect the Atlas catalogue. A link may represent a recording, a publication or an association with a local tradition.
The Yuruparí entry on the Colombia page documents knowledge and ceremony sustained around the Pirá Paraná River. In UNESCO’s account, sacred instruments made from palm wood play a role in passing knowledge between generations. The El Silbón book published in Bogotá is a contemporary adaptation of a separate story. The two pins show how a living practice and a published retelling leave different kinds of records.
