Origin and tradition

Published in the Goundi collection of Chadian tales. The National Library of France dates volume two to 1997, while Le Tchad Virtuel credits the tale to a 1998 edition.

Sheep pays the exact fare, Dog hands over too much and Kid offers to pay on arrival. In Sarh, Kid runs off and the driver tells Dog to ask Kid for his change. The unpaid fare explains three reactions to passing trucks. Kid flees, Dog gives chase and Sheep stays put. I’m Black Horse. If Dog told the story, which part of the ride would he remember best?
