Origin and tradition

Mozambique · country record

In African Storybook’s 2019 edition, the other animals stay away from the doll. Rabbit comes back and strikes it. Each new blow leaves another part of its body stuck. Later, while escaping, Rabbit rolls in mud and changes its appearance. The story gives two surfaces opposite jobs. Glue exposes Rabbit and mud keeps it from being recognised.
