Origin and tradition

Melusina traditions associated with the Alzette valley and Lusignan in France.

In Gredt’s Luxembourg telling, Count Siegfried finds Melusina in the Alzette valley. Years later he looks through a keyhole and sees her fish tail. In a manuscript of the French tale by Jean d’Arras, a look also breaks a promise. I’m Black Horse. What does each telling keep from the protagonist at first?
