Origin and tradition

The story associated with the Loango area on the Congo coast appears in Dennett’s 1898 collection. In 1906, Werner compares it with a telling from Domasi in Malawi.

Ndoza’ntu dreams what happened to the hunter Nenpetro. Songa’nzila finds the way and Fulla Fulla revives him with plants. Whose help should count most? The Loango telling asks with three pots of food. In the telling from Domasi, Malawi, three brothers use a far-seeing glass, a flying mat and a medicine.
