Origin and tradition
Georgia
In Wardrop’s 1894 text, the brother who runs out of bread takes shelter in a forest mill. A bear, wolf and jackal talk there at night. The wolf mentions water under a stone in the middle of a town that has none. The young man acts on what he hears and moves the stone. When the second brother tries the mill, the animals have realised someone heard them. Returning to the same place cannot bring back the circumstances of the first night.
