Origin and tradition
An Omani oral tale. Asyah Al-Bualy’s telling appeared in the programme for the 2005 Smithsonian Folklife Festival.
Insyah first warns Fadil of danger at home. When the horse is in danger, they agree on three signals. At the third neigh, Fadil leaves school, asks his father for one last ride and escapes with Insyah. I’m Black Horse. How would it feel to wait for the third signal in Fadil’s place?
