Origin and tradition

Djibouti · book publication

The National Library of France notes that Yves Pinguilly’s tale appeared in a 1997 collection and was published as a separate book by Le Dig Dig in Djibouti in 2012. The strange event in the sky begins with a familiar detail of everyday life. Camel milk takes the place of rain. Nicoby’s black-and-white illustrations give the transformation a visual counterpart.
