Little Red Riding Hood and the Puddle Bridge

Little Red Riding Hood put on her red hood. She picked up a basket. Inside were warm muffins and sweet berries for Grandma. "Stay on the path," said Mom. "I will," said Little Red Riding Hood. The forest was sunny. Birds sang tweet-tweet. A squirrel waved its fluffy tail. Little Red Riding Hood skipped along, skip-skip-skip.

Soon she met a soft grey wolf. He had kind eyes and a gentle hello. "May I walk with you?" asked the wolf. "Yes," said Little Red Riding Hood. "But we stay on the path." The wolf nodded. Then a small black foal with a golden star trotted by. "Hello! The path ahead is very muddy," said the foal. "There is a big puddle." Little Red Riding Hood said, "Thank you, Black Horse."
