Goldilocks and the Just-Right Friendship
Once upon a time, in a green forest where sunbeams made little gold patches on the path, a girl called Goldilocks went walking. She carried a basket for acorns. 'Just one more,' she said, and then one more, until the path behind her looked different. 'Oh dear,' said Goldilocks. 'I think I am lost.'
She walked on and found a little cottage with a blue door and a curl of smoke above the chimney. It looked cozy — warm and snug, like a blanket. Goldilocks knocked. Knock, knock. No one answered. She called, 'Hello?' The door was open a crack. Just then, a small black foal with a purple mane and a golden star on his forehead trotted up. 'Hello,' he said. 'I am Black Horse. Are you looking for someone?' Goldilocks said, 'I am lost, and I smell something lovely.'
