In short: Every time you open the app, the "Picked for [your child]" section highlights library stories that match your child's chosen interests, fit their age, are in their favourite story type and length, are highly rated by families and haven't been read yet.
What shapes the suggestions?
- Matching interests (the strongest factor)
- Favourite story type
- Age range and story length
- Ratings from families
- Stories you've already read aren't suggested again
Changing preferences
You can change interests, story type and length at any time by editing your child's profile on the account page.
Questions
Is extra data collected for recommendations?
No. Only the profile preferences and the reading history inside the app are used.
