Stories ranked by families' ratings
In short: You can rate every story you read from 1 to 5 stars. The library's "Most loved" ranking is built from these ratings, using a Bayesian average so that a single five-star vote can't skew the list. That way you can easily find stories other families have enjoyed, every night.
How are ratings calculated?
Each story's score balances its real votes against a small default average. Stories with many high ratings rise to the top, and new stories also appear under "Newest".
No fake ratings
Ratings come only from families who read the story in the app. Each account can give one rating per story and change it later.
Questions
Can others see my rating?
Only the average and the number of votes are shown; nobody can see who voted.
