In Flora Annie Steel’s Punjab collection, Rasalu takes the place of a young man about to be sent to the giants in the city of Nila. The book’s notes tentatively identify Nila with Bagh Nilab on the Indus south of Attock, in present-day Pakistan. The Atlas pin follows that geographic reading.
