The Lesotho page gives Tselane a journal record from 1889 and a Morija edition from 1908. In the earlier account, Tselane opens the door when she mistakes the voice for her mother’s. The Morija collection presents Sesotho texts with English translations. The records offer distinct starting points for looking at the voice at the door and at how an oral tale reaches readers.
