The Talking Pigs of Corisco opens the Benga section of Nassau’s 1912 book. The foreword says the first four stories were taken down from dictation in Benga on Corisco. In the first tale, Bokona Bodikito hears what sounds like human conversation and then sees that the voices come from a herd of pigs. Naming the witness makes it possible to see to whom the report was attributed.
