The Democratic Republic of the Congo’s first Atlas records come from Lower Congo tales published by John H. Weeks in 1911. Sparrow relies on two strong animals being out of each other’s sight. Civet and Tortoise believe what they hear without asking each other. In both stories, who knows what changes the course of events.
