The Teacup Storm at Tidepool Cove
Read it with your name in the appAt Tidepool Cove, nine-year-old Little One set out Grandma’s blue teacup, painted with tiny waves, for the beach picnic. Little One had a poem folded in one pocket and a fluttery feeling in the other. “What if my voice wobbles?” Little One whispered to a hermit crab. The crab scuttled sideways, which was not helpful.
Then came the teacup storm. A salty gust spun napkins, foam, and teacups into a clinking whirl. Little One caught Grandma’s cup, where a tiny storm swirled inside—foam, salt, and one surprised petal. Little One’s worry swirled too. A small black foal with a purple mane and a golden star peeked over the dunes. “A storm feels smaller when it’s shared,” the foal said kindly. Little One took a breath. “Then I’ll share mine.”
